I am Mary Constance Fishback, owner and principal designer of Camellia Design Studio. I thrive on creating unique interiors and love finding that perfect balance between traditional and modern - designs that feel fresh, relevant, and timeless all at once.

My work is all about thoughtful curation. I have a deep appreciation for mixing meaningful heirloom pieces with amazing new finds, and I’m passionate about designing spaces that truly reflect my clients—their personalities, their style, and how they want to live. I always go the extra mile to make sure every finish and detail feels just right.

I grew up near Syracuse, New York and moved to Gaithersburg, Maryland over 30 years ago. I live with my husband Dave and our lovable golden retriever, Sugar.

Interior design has been a lifelong love of mine, but I actually started my career in the corporate world, working in contract management.

After many years, I decided to finally follow my passion and enrolled in the interior design program at Montgomery College. I took classes at night and on weekends while working full-time and finished my studies just one month after retiring. That same month, I launched Camellia Design Studio—and I’ve never looked back. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful every day to be doing work that I truly love, helping people create homes that they love coming home to.
